Extron Announces the BUC 102 Balanced and Unbalanced Audio Converter
Anaheim, California (June 9, 2004) – Extron Electronics is pleased to announce the
BUC 102 Two Channel Balanced and Unbalanced Audio Converter. The BUC 102 provides signal matching between unbalanced and balanced audio equipment, and can be used as a high performance audio signal line driver. The BUC 102 serves as an interface between professional AV systems and consumer products, and with the appropriate line driver gain, it can transmit audio signals over long distances. It combines low cost and high performance via active, op amp-based circuitry for wide frequency response, long cable runs, and immunity to noise interference (EMI). "The BUC 102 offers two key benefits for AV installations with audio: consumer product integration and long-distance signal transmission with minimal loss," says Lee Dodson, vice president of marketing for Extron. "This is another product that underscores Extron's commitment to expanding our growing line of audio solutions." The BUC 102 features inputs for balanced or unbalanced stereo audio on captive screw connectors for audio inputs and outputs. User controls include variable gain adjustment for each channel, and a gain compensation switch to match balanced and unbalanced output wiring. Part of the VersaTools® line of small, economical, integrator friendly products, the BUC 102 is housed in a 1U, one-eighth rack width metal enclosure. The list price for the BUC 102 is $150.00.
