The Extron Cable Cubby F55 Series is a family of furniture-mountable cable access enclosures that are fully customizable for AV connectivity, USB, control, and power. They provide easy access to a wide variety of optional Flex55™ and active EU modules that can be used globally. Populated with a combination of modules, each of the three enclosure designs provides a stylish architectural solution that works in Europe, Asia, North America, and other regional markets. The Cable Cubby F55 Series offers attractive connectivity and power in any space.
Select Cable Cubby® enclosures are compatible with most Extron ZipClip® mounting kits and the Extron PMK 155, enabling products such as the PS Series Desktop Power Supply and other devices to be securely mounted directly beneath the unit. Ideal for a wide array of environments, the Cable Cubby F55 enclosures are available in a discreet black or contemporary aluminum finish.
Three Distinct Furniture-Mounting Styles Available
Cable Cubby F55
The Extron Cable Cubby F55 is a furniture-mounted, tilt-up cable access enclosure that is fully customizable with Flex55 and EU modules for AV connectivity, USB, control, and power. Lifting the cover provides easy access to the connectivity modules. When used with pass-through cables, the full-width slot in the cover allows flexible connection to local devices while ensuring a smooth, unobstructed work surface. Leveraging the vast offerings of Flex55™ modules and the web-based configuration tool, an enclosure can be customized for a solution that easily adapts to anyone’s needs.
Cable Cubby F55 Edge
The Extron Cable Cubby F55 Edge is a cable access enclosure that mounts AV technology and power to your furniture's edge. It is ideal for configurable rooms that require semi-permanent AV connectivity, control, and power. The Cable Cubby® enclosure provides a connection wherever you need it. An integrated clamp system secures the enclosure to furniture without requiring tools or cutting. It accommodates up to four full-size Extron Flex55™ or EU modules such as EBP eBUS® button panels, DTP® transmitters, and other connectivity modules. Half-size to double-size modules can be integrated. The enclosure also supports four Extron Retractor or Retractor XL modules.
Cable Cubby F55 UT
The Extron Cable Cubby F55 UT is a modern, clean, and discreet solution to integrate AV technology beneath furniture surfaces. The modular design allows for fast assembly and serviceability. The AV modules can be installed or serviced from the front of the enclosure after it is installed or prepopulated for a speedy onsite installation. It accommodates up to four full-size Extron Flex55™ or EU modules such as EBP eBUS® button panels, DTP® transmitters, and other connectivity modules. Half-size and double-size modules can also be integrated. The enclosure supports two Extron Retractor or Retractor XL modules. This enclosure transforms an ordinary room into a technology-rich environment.
Modular AC and/or USB Power Options
Flex55 USB PowerPlate 102
The Flex55 USB PowerPlate 102 has two +5 VDC USB Type-A power outlets with up to 3.0 A / 15 watts of USB power. It can deliver full power to either USB outlet when only one device is connected.
Flex55 AC+USB 130 US
The Flex55 AC+USB 130 US features one US AC unswitched outlet, as well as one USB-C and one USB Type-A outlet. The USB-C outlet delivers up to 27 watts and the USB Type-A outlet delivers up to 10 watts with a total power of 29.5 watts. It includes an attached 9.5-foot (2.90-meter) power cord and two 2’ (.61 meter) AC outlet cables to power optional AV devices.
USB PowerPlate 311
The USB PowerPlate 311 features a USB-C outlet that supplies up to 45 watts of power, and the USB Type-A outlet supplies up to 10 watts, with a maximum combined power output of 47.5 watts when both outlets are in use. The modules are available in black or white.
Web-based Configuration
The Cable Cubby Builder is an interactive tool that assists users in selecting AV connectivity options, control modules, and both AC and USB power modules, along with installation accessories. As you make your selections, the Builder automatically creates a bill of materials. Upon completion, the Builder allows you to review and adjust your configured Cable Cubby enclosure before you place your order (dealer login required).
