Extron Surpasses $4 Million Mark in Classroom AV System Grants to U.S. School Districts

Anaheim, California (April 5, 2011) - Extron Electronics is pleased to announce that it is continuing its popular classroom AV systems grant programs for the fourth straight year. Through the programs, Extron has granted more than $4 million worth of AV equipment to U.S. school districts. Over 750 classrooms have been granted to enable district technology leaders, administrators, and instructors to evaluate and define audiovisual system standards that can be implemented in additional classrooms. The main goal of the Extron grant program is to provide increased visibility and expanded access for K-12 classroom AV technology by supplying selected pilot classrooms with advanced audio/video solutions at no cost to the district. Each grant award includes installation of Extron classroom AV system technology, along with complete training.
