Extron Introduces New DVS 304 Digital Video Scaler
Anaheim, California (June 8, 2005) - Extron Electronics is pleased to introduce the
DVS 304, a new Digital Video Scaler that delivers high performance scaling of video, HDTV, and RGB sources. The DVS 304 is the successor to the popular DVS 204, and features an advanced scaling engine with very high quality upscaling and downscaling of high resolution computer-video.
"The DVS 304 features the latest scaling technology so that today's display devices yield the highest possible image quality, whether from conventional video or high resolution multimedia sources," says Lee Dodson, vice president of marketing for Extron. "We've also incorporated a number of features that make the DVS 304 perfect for centralizing and simplifying the integration as well as operation of an AV system." The DVS 304 features 59 selectable output rates including RGB computer-video up to UXGA (1600 x 1200) and HDTV 1080p. With smooth, high performance switching between inputs, and a single, high quality signal output for a wide range of display devices, the DVS 304 is designed to serve as the centerpiece of an AV system. A new feature is Automatic Input Format Detection, which enables the DVS 304 to automatically detect and process the incoming signal, greatly simplifying integration with a matrix switcher. For integrator and user friendly access, the DVS 304 includes on-screen display, and can be operated via the front panel, RS-232, optional IR remote control, contact closure, and
IP Link®. Extron IP Link technology allows for control, configuration, and monitoring from any authorized Web client, as well as streamlined integration with the Extron
CrossPoint 450 Plus matrix switchers. The DVS 304 is available with SDI input (DVS 304 D), audio source switching (DVS 304 A), and both SDI input and audio switching (DVS 304 AD).
