Extron Unveils New X-Y Remote Control Panel for Matrix Switchers
Anaheim, California (March 10, 2005) - Extron Electronics announces the MKP 2000, a network-ready X-Y remote control panel that works with any Extron matrix switcher and allows any input to be routed to any output. With an intuitive, easy-to-read LED display and 12-button keypad, the MKP 2000 offers a wide array of innovative features, including virtual I/O grouping, RS-232 and Ethernet control capabilities, and the ability to place any number of control panels wherever switcher control is needed. The MKP 2000 fits into practically any AV environment – from simple classroom systems to complex, large-scale applications in command centers, themed restaurants, and marine, mobile, and residential entertainment systems. Its compact, two-gang design makes it convenient to mount wherever it is needed, freeing it from the confinement of a rack or equipment room. "The MKP 2000 is an important addition to Extron's matrix switcher controller family," says Lee Dodson, vice president of marketing for Extron. "With this new X-Y control option, this product provides a new flexibility when designing systems that require easy control and multiple control points."
