Extron Presents MMX 32 VGA MTP Matrix Switcher with Twisted Pair Output
Anaheim, California (September 9, 2005) - Extron Electronics announces the
MMX 32 VGA MTP, a compact three input, two output VGA and stereo audio matrix switcher that features a built-in twisted pair transmitter for RGBHV and summed mono (L+R) audio. The MMX 32 VGA MTP is capable of driving UXGA (1600x1200) computer-video and audio signals 300 feet (90 meters) or more over a single, low-cost UTP cable. It's ideal for applications such as classrooms and conference rooms where a PC, document camera, and other sources often need to be switched to both local and remote displays.
"The MMX 32 VGA MTP combines our popular MMX 32 VGA A matrix switcher and MTP T 15HD A twisted pair transmitter in one, compact enclosure," says Lee Dodson, vice president of marketing for Extron. "It offers the cost-effective, space-saving advantages of twisted pair video and audio transmission along with the convenience of a standard VGA output for local monitoring and source preview." Compatible with high resolution RGBHV computer video and component HDTV signals, the MMX 32 VGA MTP can also switch standard definition component, S-video, and composite video signals. The MMX 32 VGA MTP can be controlled via the front panel, through RS-232, or by contact closure with the optional MMX 32 AAP and MMX 32 MAAP control modules.
