Extron Introduces New Mini Twisted Pair Transmitters

Anaheim, California (2 February 2004) – Extron Electronics is pleased to introduce two new European versions of its Mini Twisted Pair (MTP) transmitters for composite or S-video and stereo audio. The MTP T SVA 45 and MTP T AV 45 are designed for mounting into a standard 45 mm x 45 mm mounting frame for installation in a wall box, floor box, or cable channel system.

"These new transmitters are designed for easy integration into new and existing AV environments," explained Lee Dodson, vice president of marketing for Extron. "The use of twisted pair technology is growing rapidly in Europe and we are committed to meeting the needs of our dealer community." The Extron MTP T SVA 45 transmitter is compatible with the MTP Series S-video mini twisted pair receivers. Similarly, the MTP T AV 45 transmitter is compatible with the MTP Series composite video mini twisted pair receivers. These combinations offer economical point-to-point cable runs of up to 300 meters. The new MTP transmitters can also be used with Extron TPX 88 and TPX 88 A twisted pair matrix switchers to create a complete twisted pair AV routing system. The MTP T SVA 45 lists for €195,00, and the MTP T AV 45 lists for €160,00. Both twisted pair transmitters will be available in March 2004.
