Introducing Five Universal Interfaces
Now with Female 15-pin HD Input Connectors
Anaheim, California (April 23, 2001) - Extron Electronics is pleased to announce that we've replaced the male 15-pin HD input connector with a female connector on five of our most popular computer-video interfaces. The Extron RGB 150xi, RGB 158xi, RGB 550, RGB 550 AKM, and RGB 558 are now available with a female 15-pin HD input connector. Using female connectors produces a more durable and rugged interface. The female versions of these computer-video interface products can be identified by the second digit in the product number changing from a "5" to a "6." This means the new female versions are the RGB 160xi, RGB 168xi, RGB 560, RGB 560 AKM, and RGB 568. Each of these interfaces features a 15-130 kHz scanning range and 300 MHz (-3dB) video bandwidth. All are compatible with most computer and display signals, including VGA, SVGA, XGA, SXGA, UXGA, Mac, Sun, and SGI. Sync processing is accomplished through Extron's Advanced Digital Sync Processing (ADSP™) technology. ADSP provides all-digital processing of sync signals, eliminating incompatibility issues encountered when using analog sync processing with digital display devices (DLP, LCD. plasma, etc.).
