Extron Introduces the PA 300 Peaking Amplifier for Long Distance Computer-Video Transmissions
Anaheim, California (June 7, 2006) - Extron Electronics introduces the
PA 300, an RGB Peaking Amplifier designed to drive high resolution computer-video signals over very long cable runs. The PA 300 offers an RGB video bandwidth of 350 MHz (-3 dB) and is capable of driving RGB video signals up to 600 feet (185 meters) with Extron MHR or similar cable, and up to 1000 feet (300 meters) on Extron RG6 or similar cable. The PA 300 features variable level and peaking controls, and sync restoration, and is ideal for a wide range of applications in rental and event staging, lecture halls, conference rooms, auditoriums, and other installations where signal integrity must be maintained over very long distances.
"The PA 300 is our first RGB line driver with independent low and high frequency peaking adjustments," says Lee Dodson, vice president of marketing for Extron. "These controls provide installers with the ability to optimize high resolution signals for superb image quality, even in the most demanding applications with long cable runs." The PA 300 features a variable gain control which compensates for overall voltage losses to produce bright, high contrast images. Independent low and high frequency peaking controls compensate for smearing and detail losses common with long cable runs.
