Roy Hermanson Named NSCA 2004 Educator of the Year
Anaheim, California (September 1, 2004) – Extron Electronics is pleased to announce that Roy A. Hermanson, Jr. CTS-I, CTS-D, has been named the National Systems Contractor Association (NSCA) 2004 Educator of the Year. Roy, who is Northeast Regional Application Specialist (RAS) for Extron, was selected for this annual award based in part on evaluations he received for one of his courses entitled, 'DVI Technology: Because It's All Digital.'
"Roy is an enthusiastic and energetic instructor, so it comes as no surprise that he's receiving this recognition," says Jim Clements, Extron director of education and training. "He is an effective communicator who is committed to always presenting the most current information and to sharing his passion for the industry with all participants. Extron is proud to have Roy on the team and we're delighted that the NSCA has chosen him for their prestigous Educator of the Year award." Roy has over 25 years of experience in the AV industry and hands-on knowledge of rental, staging, and systems integration. His expertise includes audio, film, slide, data, and video technologies in both the residential and commercial markets. As a RAS, he works with Extron dealers and integrators in the Northeast US, providing training and support for their sales and technical staff. In addition to teaching classes at NSCA Expo, he also is an instructor at CEDIA and an ICIA Academy Faculty member.
