Overview

The Extron FF 220T is a full-range ceiling tile speaker for 70 volt/100 volt systems. The FF 220T features Extron patented Flat Field® Technology which reduces beaming of mid and high frequencies directly under the speaker, delivering consistent sound levels across the listening area. In addition, the FF 220T offers an extraordinarily wide dispersion of 170 degrees, providing a very wide room coverage pattern for rooms with low ceilings. An Extron exclusive, UL 2043 plenum rated enclosure drops into suspended ceilings, providing quicker installations. Two versions are available: a 2' x 2' version for US standard ceilings and a 600 mm x 600 mm version for metric ceilings. Both versions feature a low profile, 3.25" (8.3 cm) enclosure for ceiling installations with tight above-the-ceiling space issues.

Provide a full-range ceiling tile speaker with drop-in plenum enclosure for suspended ceilings that shall provide wide, uniform coverage and an internal transformer.
1. Full-range ceiling tile speaker with a drop-in plenum rated enclosure, an internal transformer for 8 ohm direct and 70/100 volt operation, and wide, uniform 170° conical dispersion
  1. Driver Requirements
    1. Shall consist of a 3" (7.6 cm) horn-loaded, full-range driver
  2. Performance Requirements
    1. Shall provide a frequency range of 68 Hz to 18 kHz, -10 dB below average SPL, measured on-axis in half space
    2. Shall provide a power handling capacity of 16 watts (rms) continuous pink noise per IEC 60268-5 and 32 watts (rms) continuous program
    3. Shall provide a nominal sensitivity of 86 dB SPL (1 W, 1 m) measured in half space
    4. Shall provide a nominal impedance of 8 ohms per speaker
    5. Shall provide a nominal conical coverage angle of 170°
  3. Electrical Requirements
    1. Shall support 8 ohm direct or 70/100 volt connection from power amplifiers
