Extron Quick LC Fiber Optic Connectors are factory pre-polished, field-installable connectors for fast, reliable termination of Extron multimode and singlemode fiber optic cable. The precision design and pre-cleaved fiber stub with index-matching gel ensure optimum fiber alignment and a reliable low-loss connection. Each connector includes strain relief boots for terminating Extron Fiber Optic Cable as well as other standard fiber optic cable sizes that may exist in a fiber plant. A pre-installed wedge clip features a visual indicator of a successful termination when used with a VFL - Visual Fault Locator. Quick LC Connectors are available as multimode and singlemode versions.

Connector construction requirements
Shall provide industry-standard LC-type fiber optic connection
Shall provide a pre-polished, UPC – ultra physical contact endface
Shall provide pre-cleaved 50/125 µm fiber stub with index-matching gel
Glass fiber core diameter of 50 µm
Glass fiber outer diameter of 125 µm
Shall provide strain relief boots for 3.0 mm, 2.0 mm, 900 µm, and 250 µm cable diameters
Shall include a wedge clip with visual indicator to ensure a high quality termination
Installation requirements
Shall be field installable using the Extron Fiber Optic Termination Kit
Shall be compatible with OM3 and OM4 laser optimized fiber optic cable
Performance requirements
Shall support insertion loss of no more than 0.5 dB
Nominal loss: 0.1 dB
Shall be reusable up to two (2) times
