Overview

The Extron FPC 5500 Front Panel Controller is designed for use with larger Extron matrix switchers, including the FOX Matrix 320x, FOX Matrix 14400, and Matrix 12800. The FPC 5500 also supports Extron Matrix 1K large-scale matrix switchers up to 1000x1000. It incorporates an intuitive, 12.1" touchscreen control interface with simple, straightforward menus. The FPC 5500 allows a user, regardless of technical proficiency, to control, monitor, access, and manage set-up, switching, monitoring, and diagnostic functions via a local area network or Internet connection. To control the matrix switcher from multiple locations, two or more FPC 5500 controllers can be connected to the network. The FPC 5500 is housed within a 7U high, rack-mountable panel that can be installed in an equipment rack or control console.
