The Extron AVT 200HD is a high performance tuner for receiving ATSC broadcast signals and delivers HDTV video simultaneously on HDMI, RGBHV, and YUV outputs. Designed for professional AV applications, the AVT 200HD includes Ethernet, RS-232, USB, and IR remote control capability. It outputs PCM stereo audio or Dolby® Digital with simultaneous S/PDIF and analog balanced and unbalanced stereo outputs. The AVT 200HD also offers clear QAM cable TV decoding and standard definition video outputs. Additional integrator and user-friendly features include a multi-function on-screen display, and channel presets.

The AVT 200HD allows for convenient user access through the front panel, optional IR remote control, or a control system that interfaces with the tuner via RS-232 or Ethernet. An intuitive, multi-function on-screen display provides information for the currently tuned channel, as well as reception signal strength, and also includes a program guide that lists current and upcoming program information.

Frequently tuned channels can be saved to presets for quick access through channel preset selection. The AVT 200HD is housed in a rack-mountable 1U, full rack width metal enclosure.

Features

High performance decoding of ATSC and CATV clear QAM signals — The AVT 200HD delivers high quality HD video broadcasts from over-the-air ATSC as well as clear QAM signals from cable TV.

Simultaneous HDMI, RGBHV, and HD component video outputs — The AVT 200HD offers selectable 480p, 720p, and 1080i output rates.

Dolby® Digital or PCM audio with simultaneous S/PDIF digital and analog balanced/unbalanced stereo audio outputs

USB, Ethernet, RS-232, and IR remote control — Multiple integrator and user control options are available for device configuration and operation.

Multi-function on-screen display with program guide and tuner controls — The on-screen display offers a familiar interface for the user, providing channel information, reception signal strength, and a program guide that lists current and upcoming program information.

Composite video and S-video outputs — When set for 480i output, the AVT 200HD can be used for standard definition video display and capture or recording.

Preset channel selection — Frequently tuned channels can be saved to presets to enable faster recall through preset channel selection.

Audio and video muting — The AVT 200HD offer individual and simultaneous muting of the audio and video outputs.

Aspect ratio control — The AVT 200HD can be set for 16x9 or 4x3 output. A 4x3 image on a 16x9 display, and vice versa can be shown as is with black bars, or stretched or zoomed to fill the display.

Image freeze control — A live image can be frozen through RS-232, Ethernet, or optional IR remote control.

Closed captioning — The AVT 200HD provides closed captioning of broadcasts. The appearance and style of the captioning, including font type, size, and color, can be customized.

Front panel USB configuration port — Provides convenient access to the AVT 200HD for setup and configuration using the included control software.

Front panel security lockout — This feature locks out front panel functions; all functions however, are available through RS-232 or IR control.

Ethernet monitoring and control — The AVT 200HD can be controlled and proactively monitored over a LAN, WAN, or the Internet.

RS-232 control — Using serial commands, the AVT 200HD can be controlled and configured via the Extron Windows®-based control program, or integrated into a control system. Extron products use the SIS™ - Simple Instruction Set command protocol, a set of basic ASCII code commands that allow for quick and easy programming.
