The Extron DP DA2 is a one input, two output DisplayPort distribution amplifier. The DP DA2 is HDCP compliant and supports data rates up to 10.8 Gbps and computer resolutions up to 2560x1600 @ 60 Hz. The DP DA2 features two Extron-exclusive technologies: EDID Minder®, which maintains continuous EDID communication between connected devices, and Key Minder®, which continuously authenticates HDCP encryption between all devices, ensuring the simultaneous distribution of source content to both displays. Dual-mode DisplayPort support allows source signals to be sent to HDMI, DVI, or VGA display devices with appropriate adapters. The DP DA2 is ideal for applications that require the distribution of a DisplayPort source signal to two displays.
The DP DA2 offers integrator-friendly features, including computer desktop extension over multiple displays, automatic input cable equalization, selectable output muting, and indicators for monitoring and troubleshooting. The DP DA2 supports computer resolutions up to 3840x1080 @ 60 Hz, allowing the computer desktop to be extended across two displays. In addition, the DP DA2 provides automatic input cable equalization up to 25 feet at 2560x1600 @ 60 Hz using Extron DisplayPort Series cable. Automatic input cable equalization restores and reshapes incoming signals, reducing the need for additional signal conditioning equipment by compensating for weak source signals or signal loss from a long input cable. Outputs can be muted independently via RS-232 or contact closure, allowing content to be previewed on a local monitor. Additionally, the DP DA2 provides immediate visual confirmation of EDID status, HDCP authentication, and signal presence for each port via LED indicators.
Housed in a 1U, half rack width metal enclosure, the DP DA2 can be mounted in a rack or installed beneath a desk. It includes an external, universal power supply for worldwide power compatibility.
