  • AFL™ - Accu-RATE Frame Lock — A patented technology exclusive to Extron that solves frame rate conversion issues experienced by video scalers.
  • Aspect ratio conversion — Ability to horizontally and vertically size any video input to meet a specific aspect ratio. Three memory presets for aspect ratio are available for each input by pushing each input button repeatedly.
  • Seamless switching with a cut or variable-rate dissolve — Switching is seamless to and from the RGB video on input one. Presentations can be enhanced by eliminating distracting visual jumps, glitches, and distortion commonly seen when switching between computer and video sources.
  • Quad standard video decoding — The DVS 406 uses a digital, four-line adaptive comb filter to decode NTSC 3.58, NTSC 4.43, PAL, and SECAM for integration in systems worldwide.
  • Variable top and bottom vertical blanking — Eliminates edge noise caused by tapehead switching and captioning.
  • Keying capability — Title information or other content from an input source can be displayed over the current image. The content is keyed into the display at a selected luminance level.
  • Front panel security lockout — This feature locks out all front panel functions except for input selection; all functions however, are available through RS-232 control.
  • RS-232 control port — Using serial commands, the DVS 406 can be controlled and configured via the Extron Windows®-based control program, or integrated into third-party control systems. Extron products use the SIS™ - Simple Instruction Set command protocol, a set of basic ASCII code commands that allow for quick and easy programming.
  • Optional IR 901 handheld IR remote control — The optional Extron IR 901 Remote Control allows for input source switching, Image Freeze Control, and direct access to picture adjustments.
  • Rack-mountable 1U, full rack width metal enclosure
  • Internal international power supply — The 100-240VAC, 50/60 Hz, universal power supply provides worldwide power compatibility.
