The Extron FPC 1000 Front Panel Controller is designed to operate as part of the Matrix 3200 and Matrix 6400 Series matrix switching system. One Matrix 3200/6400 Series matrix switcher may consist of up to six BME - Basic Module Enclosures switching up to 64 inputs and 64 outputs. The modules that make up a system are controlled as one from a single control device. When permanent, local control is required, the FPC 1000 allows for easy configuration of inputs and outputs, as well as the control of additional system features. The optional FPC 1000 mounts in place of the blank front panel in the master module, BME #0.

Using a monochrome, 320 x 240 pixel LCD graphic display, the FPC 1000 provides full control over the Matrix 3200 and 6400. All switching, set-up and diagnostics can be executed via an intuitive, menu-driven interface. Any user, regardless of their technical proficiency, can easily navigate through the FPC 1000's simple and straightforward menus to change, monitor, or control the features of the Matrix 3200 or Matrix 6400.

For seamless switching from one RGB input to another, the FPC 1000 includes an adjustable delay that can be configured for each output. This feature allows the Matrix 3200/6400 to accommodate the switching characteristics of any display device. Additional features include: instant global audio and RGB video mute/unmute functions, dynamically assigned "soft" buttons, a dynamically assigned speed knob, and a customizable display.
