  • Three simultaneous outputs on BNC, 15-pin HD, and twisted pair connectors — Both outputs on five BNC connectors and a 15-pin HD connector are active simultaneously, and can directly drive two separate displays. It also includes a third active output on an RJ-45 connector for twisted pair output, and therefore can provide signals to three separate displays.

  • Accepts RGB signals at resolutions up to 1024x768 and upscales to desired resolution - no downscaling — The IN1404XT accepts RGBHV/RGBS/RGsB signals at resolutions of 640x480, 800x600, or 1024x768, and scan rates of 15 kHz to 60 kHz.
  • 48 output rates up to 1365x1024 — Multiple output resolutions from 648x480 to 1365x1024 allow the IN1404XT to match the optimal or native resolution of virtually any display.
  • Input memory presets for up to 128 different sources
  • Digital freeze frame — Useful for high quality still images in applications that require close examination of a specific video frame, the freeze frame function can be enabled or disabled via front panel or RS-232 control.
  • Video blank — Once engaged, the output signal goes to black but the sync signals continue, ensuring that the data display device retains sync lock. When the blank button is pressed again, the switcher returns to the last selected input.
  • Seamless switching between a passive RGB signal on input 4 to and from any other input — The IN1404XT provides a seamless cut between inputs when switching between a passive computer input signal on input four and a composite video, S-video, or component video signal connected to input one, two, or three. The scaler also provides a seamless switch between an active, scaled RGB computer-video signal connected to input three and a passive RGB computer-video signal connected to input four.
  • 3:2 pulldown detection — Advanced film mode processing techniques help maximize image detail and sharpness for NTSC or PAL sources that originated from film.
  • Aspect ratio conversion — Proper image geometry can be achieved by using the aspect ratio feature of the IN1404XT. The scaler is able to horizontally and vertically resize the video image to match a specified aspect ratio, filling the display, and improving the overall perception of the displayed image.
  • Picture controls including brightness, contrast, gamma, hue, saturation, sharpness, image size, and image shift
  • Volume control and mute — Can be controlled via the front panel or RS-232. Unique volume levels can be saved for each input and automatically recalled each time an input is selected.
  • Quad standard decoder — The IN1404XT employs an advanced three-line adaptive comb filter and a high quality video decoder to provide accurate video decoding for composite video and S-video signals in NTSC 3.58, NTSC 4.43, PAL, and SECAM video for worldwide compatibility.
  • High quality video scaling technology — Utilizing sophisticated video deinterlacing, scaling, and filtering techniques, the IN1404XT offers output signals with optimum image detail.
  • Twisted pair output — By incorporating a twisted pair transmitter, the IN1404XT is able to send a scaled video signal up to 500 feet using Extron Enhanced Skew-Free™ AV UTP cable. When used with the compact and installation-friendly Extron VTR001 MAAP Twisted Pair Receiver, the IN1404XT is a complete solution for environments that require long distance cable runs.
  • Audio breakaway for independent audio and video switching — The IN1404XT's default operation is audio-follow-video switching. Audio breakaway can be achieved using RS-232 serial commands.
  • RS-232 control port — Using serial commands, the IN1404XT can be integrated into third-party control systems.
  • Rack-mountable 1U, full rack width metal enclosure - rack ears included
  • Internal international power supply — The 100-240VAC, 50/60 Hz, autoswitchable internal power supply provides worldwide power compatibility.
