MVC 121 Plus

The Extron MVC 121 is a high performance Microphone Volume Control and Line Level Mixer. Equipped with RS-232 control capability, the MVC 121 is easy to integrate into existing AV systems where control needs to be simple and centralized, including such environments as small classrooms and meeting rooms. The MVC 121 is designed for intuitive operation with two microphone/line level inputs and a third, line level-only input, each with its own volume control. The mixer also provides 48 V microphone phantom power to enable the use of condenser microphones.

Features

  • Mixes two microphone inputs and a stereo line level input — Two mono microphone or line level inputs are mixed with a stereo line level input.
  • Inputs: Captive screw connectors
  • Outputs: Captive screw connectors
  • Audio mixing and volume control via front panel or RS-232 — A rear panel, captive screw port provides RS-232 control of audio mixing and volume adjustment.
  • Two microphone inputs with mic/line level option - DIP switch-selectable — The microphone inputs of the MVC 121 will accommodate either a mic level wired microphone or a line level wireless microphone.
  • 48 volt phantom power for condenser microphones
  • Fixed and variable line level outputs — The fixed output is ideal for recording devices or other equipment such as ALS - Assistive Listening Systems, while the variable output is designed to drive a power amplifier.
  • Smooth, 0.5 dB volume transitions — Adjustments are made in 0.5 dB increments, ensuring smooth transitions when changing volume levels.
  • Front panel volume level LEDs — The MVC 121 features one set of four LEDs to display volume levels for each channel.
  • Individual volume adjustment — Each input, as well as the master program output, has its own volume adjustment, which can be individually turned on or off.
  • Contact closure mute control — For simple applications without a control system, the microphone and line level inputs can be individually muted via contact closure.
  • Front panel security lockout — The MVC 121 offers two modes of front panel security lockout for limited control and full lockout to prevent unauthorized use or tampering.
  • Rack-mountable 1U, quarter rack width metal enclosure
  • Highly reliable, energy-efficient external universal power supply included, replacement part #70-775-01 — Provides worldwide power compatibility, with high demonstrated reliability and low power consumption for reduced operating costs.
