The Extron P/2 DA2 D is a two output VGA and audio distribution amplifier designed to mount in a one-gang, decorator-style wallplate. It is capable of driving high resolution computer video signals up to 250 feet (75 meters) on Extron M59 or equivalent cable. The P/2 DA2 D also offers a local monitor output for convenient connection to a local computer monitor, and the option to output audio as dual mono or stereo. The P/2 DA2 D is available in black and is ideal for use in permanent, in-wall applications requiring long distance transmission of high resolution video signals and audio.

The P/2 DA2 D restores low level sync voltages found on many laptops, as low as two volts, to normal TTL levels. This sync restoration prepares the signals for long cable runs and offers enhanced compatibility with a wide range of computers, display devices, and cable types.

This distribution amplifier also offers selectable gain and peaking, which provides video amplification and peaking to compensate for the voltage losses and high frequency attenuation that normally occur in long cable runs. A three position switch lets the installer select the appropriate signal boost for various cable lengths, providing a more detailed image with greater contrast.

The P/2 DA2 D also features active PC audio buffering which converts unbalanced PC audio to balanced, line level signals, eliminating noise over long cable runs. Unbalanced stereo audio is input on 3.5 mm stereo mini jacks, while balanced or unbalanced stereo audio is output on captive screw connectors.

Selectable stereo or dual mono audio output allows for a choice of stereo audio or actively-summed L+R mono audio on both outputs. This simplifies integration in program audio and distributed audio system designs and allows the best audio reproduction method to be chosen for optimum audio intelligibility and minimal listener fatigue.
