The Extron QC 101 E and QC 101 C are dedicated controllers for Quantum® Elite and Quantum Connect videowall processors. They feature a small form factor enclosure, with an embedded operating system and Quantum Control Software preinstalled on a solid state drive. The QC 101 offers an alternative to a traditional PC that is compact, reliable, easy to install, and easy to use. Quantum processor configurations can be programmed on the QC 101, or on a standard PC and then migrated to the QC 101. A display, keyboard, and mouse connect to the QC 101 for setup and configuration, and can be removed after system commissioning. The QC 101 easily integrates with a control system to provide simplified videowall operation. For large videowalls, up to eight Quantum Elite processors can be controlled from a single QC 101 E through a network switch.
Robust Operation
The QC 101 is designed for continuous operation in mission-critical environments. Both QC 101 models feature 80 GB solid state storage that delivers unsurpassed long-term dependability over conventional hard drives. The embedded operating system resides on a write-protected drive partition, virtually eliminating the possibility of virus retention, or accidental modification or deletion of core system files.
Simplified Integration
With preinstalled Quantum Control Software, the QC 101 is ready out of the box for integration with Quantum videowall processors. No driver or software installation is necessary, and the QC 101 automatically launches the Quantum Control Software when powered up. Through Ethernet, the QC 101 can be connected to a single Quantum Connect or Quantum Elite processor, or networked with up to eight Quantum Elite units in a large videowall system.
Integrator-friendly features include a standard RS‑232 port for direct connection into a control system, front panel LED indicators for quick confirmation of status and operation, and a compact 1U, rack-mountable metal enclosure. Rack mount hardware is available separately.
