The Extron RGB 478xi SC-AFM 6 is an architectural interface that can be mounted in a Steel City AFM 6 floor box. A low profile design provides ample space for cables and connectors within the floor box. Each mounting plate is engineered to fit easily into the floor box, making installations quick and clean. The RGB 478xi includes an opening to accommodate three AAP - Architectural Adapter Plates.

With a 15-130 kHz horizontal frequency range and 300 MHz (-3 dB) of RGB bandwidth, each interface features Extron's ADSP™ - Advanced Digital Sync Processing, two female 15-pin HD connectors, and a buffered local monitor output that can be fixed to input one or shared between all three by switch selection. Input selection can be made via the front panel, autoswitching, or contact closure. ADSP provides all-digital processing of sync signals, avoiding the tearing and other image distortions encountered when using poor sync processing methods with digital display devices, such as DLP, LCD, D-ILA™/LCoS, plasma, etc.

In addition, the RGB 478xi SC-AFM 6 will accept VGA-QXGA, Mac, Sun®, and SGI® signals, while providing RGBHV, RGBS, or RGsB output on five BNC pigtails. It will also convert computer-generated, unbalanced audio to balanced line level stereo or mono audio for output on a captive screw connector.

ADSP™ - Advanced Digital Sync Processing — An exclusive Extron technology that conditions sync signals to provide reliable operation with a variety of signal sources and display types. ADSP reshapes the sync signals, restores proper TTL voltage levels, and maintains the original video to sync timing relationships while allowing centering control.

DDSP™ - Digital Display Sync Processing — Allows the sync signal to pass through without altering sync pulse or width. Disables other sync processing features such as horizontal and vertical centering.

Three-position level/peaking control — Boosts and equalizes video signals to compensate for signal loss and high frequency attenuation that occur in long cable runs.

Horizontal shift control — Shifts the displayed image left or right on the display screen. Also called "horizontal centering".

Two memory settings for centering and horizontal shift control

Active PC audio to balanced audio interfacing — Converts computer-generated, unbalanced audio to balanced line level stereo audio for output on a captive screw connector.

Selectable stereo or summed mono audio output

Opening for three AAP - Architectural Adapter Plates — Extron offers a wide selection of active and passive AAPs with audio, video, phone, data, power, and control connectors, that fit together for attractive and completely customizable AV connectivity. AAPs sold separately.

Contact closure remote control

Highly reliable, energy-efficient external universal power supply included, replacement part #70-775-01 — Provides worldwide power compatibility, with high demonstrated reliability and low power consumption for reduced operating costs.

Installs in Steel City® AFM 6 floor box — Low profile design provides ample space for cables and connectors. Mounting plate is engineered to fit easily into the floor box, making installation quick and clean. Floor box sold separately.
