XTP T UWP 202 4K

The XTP T UWP 202 and XTP T UWP 202 NL are two-input transmitters for sending HDMI or VGA video, audio, and bidirectional RS‑232 and IR up to 330 feet (100 m) over a shielded CATx cable. The XTP T UWP 202 includes an Ethernet port on the front plate to enable Ethernet extension for LAN access. Incoming analog video signals are digitized for reliable display on a variety of output devices. The XTP® transmitters are HDCP compliant, and support computer and video resolutions up to 1920x1200, including 1080p/60 with Deep Color and 2K. These transmitters work with XTP Systems® for signal distribution and long-distance transmission in wall-mount environments.

The XTP T UWP 202 and XTP T UWP 202 NL provide signal extension from remote sources for high performance transmission of video, audio, and bidirectional control over long distances. Video source signals may be HDMI or an analog video format, with analog video signals digitized for reliable enterprise-wide distribution. To streamline operations, the transmitters feature auto-switching that allows for simple, unmanaged transmission from within a lectern or under a table. Switching priority is configurable when multiple inputs are active. To simplify installation, XTP transmitters can be powered by the XTP CrossPoint matrix switcher. The included decorator-style wallplate is designed to provide convenient AV access that blends in with the environment.

Two Extron technologies simplify integration of HDMI-enabled devices. EDID Minder® automatically manages EDID by maintaining continuous EDID communication with sources, ensuring that all sources power up properly and reliably transmit content to the destination. For encrypted content, Key Minder® authenticates and maintains HDCP encryption between devices to ensure quick and reliable signal distribution.

These transmitters are compatible with a broad range of multi-channel audio signals. For digital audio, the HDMI inputs enable transmission of embedded audio or separate analog stereo audio signals. This feature enables direct connection of separate stereo audio signals from a laptop, Blu-ray Disc player, or other device. In addition, the transmitter provides selectable analog stereo audio input embedding. Embedding stereo audio into the signal stream provides support of balanced/unbalanced stereo audio for extended transmission, reducing the number of cable runs to the destination. They also provide audio input gain and attenuation control plus volume adjustment to manage the audio signals from source endpoints. These features enable the output volume level to be set, eliminating noticeable volume differences when switching between sources.

The XTP T UWP 202 also features Ethernet extension. Centralized 10/100 Ethernet communication can be implemented via an Ethernet extension port to reduce the number of independent network drops required within a system. The NL model is ideal for locations where Ethernet extension is unnecessary.

The Extron technologies, reduced cabling needs, remote power capabilities, and wall-mountable design of these two input XTP transmitters allow for discreet placement in a wide variety of environments. Extron recommends Extron-certified XTP DTP 24 shielded twisted pair cable, shielded RJ-45 plugs, jacks, and couplers engineered for optimum signal transmission with Extron XTP Systems. The XTP DTP 24 cable is certified to 475 MHz, and utilizes a SF/UTP design with four unshielded 24 AWG twisted pair conductors inside an overall braid and foil shield for superior performance and noise immunity.

Extron XTP Systems

Extron XTP Systems provide a completely integrated switching and distribution solution for multiple digital and analog formats. They support local connectivity as well as extended transmission capability for sending high resolution video, audio, RS‑232, and Ethernet up to 330 feet (100 meters) over a shielded CATx cable and even greater distances over fiber optic cabling. Each system is HDCP compliant and delivers ultra‑fast, highly reliable digital switching with Extron's SpeedSwitch® Technology.

At the heart of a system is an XTP CrossPoint matrix switcher. The modular matrix switchers are expandable from 4x4 to 64x64, depending on frame size, and can be populated with a wide variety of XTP I/O matrix boards. Input and output boards provide direct HDMI, SDI, DVI, VGA, video, and audio connections to local sources and displays, and signal extension to remote endpoints when using XTP transmitters and receivers. The matrix switcher can also provide power to a remote XTP device over CATx cabling, depending on transmitter model.

The online XTP System Builder gives convenient access for complete system design. The tool also features a printable bill of materials, pricing, and quote submittal. Once the order is confirmed and received, the included XTP System Configuration Software enables easy setup and configuration right out of the box.

To configure, operate, and monitor the system in real time, user-friendly control software offers a complete view of all XTP devices from a computer. With hot‑swappable modular components, a wide selection of XTP transmitters and receivers, and advanced 24/7 system monitoring, XTP Systems are designed to provide continuous, trouble‑free operation in the most critical applications.
