Overview
As part of our product innovation strategy, Extron continually improves the efficiency and security of its software and firmware. Using the latest version assures product compatibility and provides benefits from the most recent features, enhancements, security patches, and bug fixes.

Lifecycle General Information
Phase Definitions
- Initial Release Date: This is the date the software and/or firmware were first publicly available.
- Active: This software or firmware is the current version with the latest features, enhancements, security patches, and bug fixes.
- Archives: This software or firmware version is approaching retirement. It no longer receives new features, enhancements, security patches, and bug fixes. Extron highly recommends that you update your system to the active version.
- Retired: This software or firmware has reached end of life and is no longer available on the website. Contact your Extron representative if you need software or firmware not shown above.
Release Numbering Convention
x.y.z.b
- x = Major release number
- y = Minor release number
- z = Patch release number
- b = Build number
Releases with a change in the first digit X are major releases (e.g. 2.1.0 or 3.1.0)
Releases with a change in the second digit Y are minor releases (e.g. 2.1.1, 2.2.1)
Releases with a change in the third digit Z are patch releases (e.g. 2.1.2, 2.1.3)
