FOX3 Systems
Securely Delivering 4K/60 4:4:4 Video, Audio, USB, and Control Signals
FOX3 Systems are the latest generation of fiber optic distribution solutions designed, engineered, and manufactured by Extron to meet the most demanding requirements of critical video and audio distribution applications. From point-to-point extension to fully non-blocking matrix applications up to 2000x2000 and beyond, FOX3 Systems securely deliver unrivaled performance and reliability to satisfy even the most discerning users.
Uncompromised Image Quality
Supporting data rates up to 18 Gbps, FOX3 matrix switchers and extenders are designed to extend and distribute uncompressed or mathematically lossless video images up to 4096x2160 at 60 Hz with 4:4:4 chroma sampling. Maintaining a 60 Hz frame rate with a 4:4:4 color space provides smooth frame transitions in full-motion video and ensures the details of high-quality computer images, such as CAD drawings, are preserved. FOX3 receivers with Vector™ 4K scaling technology offer best-in-class image quality while preserving detail present in the original source material.
Full Audio System Integration
The FOX3 Matrix Series provides leading-edge audio functionalities, including audio switching and breakaway, embedding/de-embedding, DMP expansion, Dante® integration with AES67 support, as well as local analog audio insertion and extraction. Native integration with Dante provides bidirectional digital audio transport up to 32 stereo-channels over a local area network using standard Internet protocols.
USB Signal Switching and Extension
FOX3 extenders incorporate USB switching and extension to streamline system integration in KVM – keyboard, video, and mouse applications. USB device class filtering and HID-only ports allow for tailor-made solutions in high security deployments.
Designed for Secure Systems
All FOX3 matrix switchers use two methods to ensure sensitive data is properly segregated and protected – Priority Switching and Secure Partitioning. Priority Switching is useful in systems with multiple security classification levels. It assigns a security level to each input and output. An output can only be tied to an input at the same security level or lower, preventing unauthorized access to sensitive data.
Secure Partitioning enables the matrix switcher to be divided into smaller sub-switchers for segregating sources and destinations. Sources can only be routed to destinations within the same partition.
Modular Fiber Optic I/O Boards
The FOX3 Matrix Series utilizes a modular design to support various system configurations. Boards are available in multimode for short to moderate-range transmission distances or in singlemode for long-range transmission. The boards are hot-swappable and can be added at any time in the field for easy and quick upgrades or expansion.
Flexible I/O Configuration
Each individual input and output can be linked through software configuration to enable bidirectional signal routing. This system mapping makes it easier to route bidirectional traffic, like USB, while still maintaining secure unidirectional data flows for video and audio.
