Extron Introduces New GSS 100 Graphic Still Store
Anaheim, California (June 8, 2005) - Extron Electronics is pleased to introduce the
GSS 100 Graphic Still Store. This unique, compact still store is designed for displaying company logos, digital photos, and slides as part of an AV presentation or between presentation sessions. It accepts both BMP and JPEG format image files, and outputs a high resolution analog RGBHV computer-video signal. The GSS 100 can eliminate the need for a dedicated graphics PC in many applications, and is ideal for event staging, conference rooms and boardrooms, houses of worship, digital signage, and similar applications.
"The GSS 100 is a new, one-of-a-kind offering for the AV presentation market," says Lee Dodson, vice president of marketing for Extron. "It fulfills the need to easily and effortlessly store and display corporate logos, welcome screens, and other graphical themes or static information." The GSS 100 features
Extron IP Link® technology with an integrated Web server that facilitates control and configuration from any authorized Web client, as well as uploading image files from a PC. Offering a user-friendly graphical interface, images may be individually selected or programmed into a slide show with point-and-click simplicity. The GSS 100 outputs 53 selectable rates up to UXGA (1600 x 1200) to match the native resolution of the display. A special RGB pass-through is included, so that the GSS 100 can easily be installed between the output of a source (or switcher) and the display device, without the need for separate RGB switching. The GSS 100 automatically outputs a stored image whenever a signal on its pass-through input is interrupted, a particularly useful feature when laptops are exchanged during a presentation. The GSS 100 lists for $1,145. For availability, contact an Extron Customer Support Representative at 800.633.9876 (inside U.S./Canada only).
