Delivering Enhanced Control to Modern Workspaces

Extron is working with HP to create scalable meeting solutions for modern workspaces. We are integrating room automation, audio, and signal extension capabilities with the HP Elite Slice G2, Microsoft^® Teams Rooms^®, and Zoom Rooms™ solutions. Our partnership with HP brings Extron audiovisual control capabilities to the HP Elite Slice G2 providing complete AV and conferencing control across the enterprise. With this new solution, a simple tap on the HP Center of Room Control screen can control call volume for the room as well as send commands that trigger automation events for display control, shades, lighting, and more.

As part of this conferencing, control, and automation ecosystem, occupancy sensors can also be added to automate system power to turn on displays when participants enter a room and turn them off when the room is empty.

Extron Control for Microsoft Teams Rooms

Extron Control for Microsoft Teams Rooms adds Extron Pro Series control capabilities to the full range of conferencing features provided by the Microsoft Teams Rooms application, which runs on HP Elite Slice G2 solutions, thus allowing a single device to deliver both collaboration and control solutions for an enhanced meeting room experience. These rooms can be accessed using the secure Extron Control for Web HTML5 page from any PC or laptop and are configured with Extron Global Configurator Plus and Global Configurator Professional or programmed with ControlScript. It allows various room functions, including controlling shades, lighting, display, and camera controls.

SPACE REQUIREMENTS

Focus rooms with video conferencing capability enable internal collaboration with remote team members at different locations. This system utilizes the HP Elite Slice G2, enabling meeting attendees to use the full range of Microsoft Teams Rooms System conferencing features as well as having the option to bring your own device. This system provides convenient HDMI and USB connectivity at the table. USB connectivity is used to automatically switch from Microsoft Teams to BYOD. Cable management and AC power provide easy accessibility. A Poly Studio USB Camera is mounted below the display. AV signals are routed from the user’s laptop to the HP Elite Slice G2 then to the display. The IPCP Pro 250 control processor allows for automatic display control, conferencing control for Microsoft Teams, and room control via HP Center of Room Control (CoRC). The TLS 725M provides room scheduling capabilities with on-demand reservations from the touchpanel, computer, or any smartphone or tablet. When coupled with the OCS 100C, room automation is provided by releasing rooms with no-shows and automatic system start-up when people enter the room.

Large Conference Room – Microsoft Teams Room with Extron Control

SPACE REQUIREMENTS

The large conference room accommodates up to 16 people and includes video conferencing capabilities, enabling team members in remote locations to participate in meetings. This system utilizes the HP Elite Slice G2 along with the HP Center of Room Control, and the Poly EagleEye Director II, enabling meeting attendees to use the full range of Microsoft Teams Rooms System conferencing features. This system supports connection of three HDMI sources and one DisplayPort source at the table. It includes dual displays, touchpanel control as well as cable and AC power management. The room size requires an audio system with full-range, ceiling mounted speakers for sound reinforcement. The TLS 725M provides room scheduling capabilities with on-demand reservations from the touchpanel, computer, or any smartphone or tablet. When coupled with the OCS 100C, room automation is provided by releasing rooms with no-shows and automatic system start-up when people enter the room.

Meeting Room – Zoom Room with Native Room Controls

SPACE REQUIREMENTS

Meeting rooms with video conferencing capability enable internal collaboration with remote team members at different geographical locations. This system utilizes the HP Elite Slice G2 along with the HP Center of Room Control, enabling meeting attendees to use the full range of Zoom Rooms System conferencing features while having access to AV control from the same interface. A Logitech MeetUp Camera is mounted below the display. Control signals are sent from the HP Elite Slice G2 and HP Center of Room Control through an Extron IPCP Pro 350 Control Processor to automate lighting, shades and display. The TLS 725M provides room scheduling capabilities with on-demand reservations from the touchpanel, computer, or any smartphone or tablet. When coupled with the OCS 100C, room automation is provided by releasing rooms with no-shows and automatic system start-up when people enter the room.
