Two Extron Products Recognized as the Most Innovative of 2013

Anaheim, California (January 23, 2014) - Extron Electronics is proud to announce two of its products have been named Sound and Video Contractor 30 Most Innovative Products. The Extron VN-Matrix 250 Streaming Encoder and Decoder for HDMI, and the Extron UTS 100 Under Table Mounting System, have won places on this esteemed list. The Sound and Video Contractor Bold Engineering 2013: 30 Most Innovative Products competition recognizes the year's most innovative products voted upon by thousands of Sound & Video Contractor readers.

The VN-Matrix 250 Series provides real-time transmission of high resolution HDCP-compliant HDMI, DVI, or RGB video across standard IP networks for use in real-time streaming, recording, and playback applications. The VN-Matrix 250 Series accepts HDMI and RGB signals at resolutions up to 1920x1200 and 2048x1080, and streams video and audio over an IP network, preserving the native source resolution of digital or analog video sources with visually lossless quality. Designed specifically to support mission critical AV applications, the VN-Matrix 250 Series supports streaming of commonly used AV signals, including HDCP-encrypted video. Stereo analog audio and HDMI-embedded audio are both supported, providing compatibility with embedded display speakers or existing audio systems. The VN-Matrix 250 Series is ideal for applications with the most demanding quality requirements, such as command and control, simulation, medical, and distance collaboration with complex computer visualizations.

The Extron UTS 100 Series Under Table Shelf System is a unique, self-supporting half-rack width shelf system designed for use in environments where a traditional equipment rack or cabinet cannot be located beneath a table top or other furniture surface. The compact, 1U, modular shelf system mounts directly to the undersurface of a table top, without rack rails, and supports any combination of half-, quarter-, or eighth-rack products. The UTS 100 Series includes the UTS 100 Primary Shelf that mounts directly to the furniture's undersurface and supports one or more UTS 150 Secondary Shelf units for additional rack capacity.
