Extron Introduces New Compact Surface Mount Speaker
Anaheim, California (June 19, 2007) - Extron Electronics is pleased to introduce the System INTEGRATOR® SI 3, a compact, full-range surface mount speaker ideally suited for small to medium classrooms where wall space for speaker placement is at a premium due to projector screens, pull-down maps, and white boards. It features a 3" (7.6 cm) full-range driver, coupled to an exclusive conical baffle that serves to provide a broad dispersion of the mid and high frequencies in order to optimize room coverage from a compact speaker."The Extron SI 3 was designed with a compact footprint that meets the needs of classrooms with limited wall space or other applications that require a small, surface-mounted speaker," says Lee Dodson, Vice President of Marketing for Extron. "With its exclusive conical baffle and full-range driver, a pair of SI 3 speakers will ensure faithful sound reproduction of a wide variety of audio material."
The SI 3 features an incredibly wide frequency response of 75 Hz to 18 kHz, 16 watts continuous pink noise or 32 watts continuous program capacity, and a nominal impedance of 8 ohms. An internal overload protection circuit prevents driver damage due to excessive input levels. The SI 3 has a durable, high-impact housing that is also weather-resistant for use in outdoor environments. Also included with the SI 3 is Extron's exclusive Patent Pending V-Lock® mounting hardware, which facilitates easy, secure installations and allows for wide 60° horizontal and 55° vertical travel. The SI 3 is sold in pairs and is available in a black or white finish, and includes a 5 year parts and labor warranty.
