1. Shall provide a fiber optic transmitter that shall support the distribution of DisplayPort video, multi-channel audio, RS-232 control, and IR control
   1. Long distance signal extension of digital video with embedded multi-channel audio and control signals over singlemode fiber optic cabling
   2. Video input requirements
      1. Shall provide one (1) female DisplayPort connector for digital video signals with embedded audio
      2. Shall provide one (1) female DisplayPort connector for loop-through
         1. Shall support Type 2 dual-mode DisplayPort for HDMI, DVI, or VGA displays when used with an appropriate adapter
      3. Shall support computer and video resolutions up to 4096x2160 @ 30 Hz, including 2560x1600 @ 60 Hz and 1080p/60 Deep Color
      4. Shall support computer video up to 2560x1600
      5. Shall support data rates up to 10.8 Gbps – 2.7 Gbps per lane
      6. Shall support 12-bit color bit depth for resolutions up to 1080p and 10-bit color bit depth for resolutions above 1080p
   3. Embedded audio input requirements
      1. Shall provide one (1) female DisplayPort connector – shared with video input
      2. Shall support PCM, Dolby® TrueHD, Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby Digital EX, Dolby Digital 2/0, Dolby Digital 2/0 Surround, Dolby Digital 5.1, DTS-HD Master Audio, DTS-HD, DTS Digital Surround 5.1, DTS-ES Matrix 6.1, and DTS-ES Discrete 6.1 audio formats
   4. Analog Audio input requirements
      1. Shall provide one (1) 3.5 mm stereo jack
      2. Shall provide one (1) 3.5 mm captive screw connector, 5 pole for balanced or unbalanced analog stereo
      3. Shall provide embedding of analog stereo audio
      4. Shall provide gain and attenuation adjustment capability
   5. Audio return channel output requirements
      1. Shall provide one (1) 3.5 mm captive screw connector, 5 pole for balanced or unbalanced analog stereo
      2. Shall provide an audio return channel for transmission of stereo audio from the receiver to the transmitter over fiber
   6. EDID communication requirements
      1. Shall include Extron EDID Minder® technology to automatically manage EDID communication between connected devices
      2. Shall provide one (1) EDID selector rotary dial on front panel
   7. Control requirements
      1. Shall provide one (1) female mini USB port B on front panel for setup and configuration
      2. Shall provide one (1) bidirectional RS-232 connector on rear panel for setup and configuration
      3. Shall provide one (1) bidirectional RS-232 connector on rear panel for control pass-through
      4. Shall provide one (1) bidirectional IR control port
      5. Shall support IR remote control pass-through transmission from the receiver to the transmitter for control of source equipment
      6. Shall support IR remote control pass-through transmission from the transmitter to the receiver for control of display equipment
      7. Shall provide one (1) two-pole captive screw connector on rear panel for a contact closure output to trigger an external control system for alarm notification in case of fiber link loss
   8. Interconnection requirements
      1. Shall provide interconnection between transmitter and receiver over singlemode fiber optic cabling
      2. Shall provide two (2) LC-type fiber optic connectors for interconnection between transmitter and receiver
   9. Transmission requirements
      1. Shall support extension of video, audio, and control signals over singlemode fiber optic cabling
      2. Shall provide a fiber optic signal transmission distance capability of 30 km (18.75 miles) over singlemode fiber optic cabling
      3. Shall support an optical loss budget of at least 13 dB between transmitter and receiver
   10. HDCP requirements
       1. Shall be HDCP compliant
       2. Shall include Extron Key Minder® technology to authenticate and maintain continuous HDCP encryption between the input and output devices to ensure quick and reliable switching
   11. Power requirements
       1. Shall be equipped with an internal, universal AC power supply capable of supporting 100 - 240 VAC, 50/60 Hz power
   12. General requirements
       1. Shall provide internal color bars text pattern for calibration and setup
       2. Shall provide visual signal on LED indicators located on the front panel for DisplayPort video signal presence, HDCP authentication, audio input signal presence, audio return channel output signal presence, and power
       3. Shall provide visual signal on LED indicators located on rear panel for fiber optic link status and power
       4. Shall have a compact 1U high, half rack width metal enclosure
       5. Shall be rack mountable with optional rack shelf
       6. Shall be wall or furniture mountable with optional mounting kits
       7. Shall meet regulatory compliance
          1. CE, c-UL, UL
          2. CE, C-tick, FCC Class A, ICES, VCCI
          3. Appropriate requirements of RoHS, WEEE
       8. Shall provide at least three years parts and labor warranty
       9. Shall be compatible with the FOX II R DP 4K SM fiber optic receiver
       10. Shall be compatible with Extron FOX Series matrix switchers to create an HDCP-compliant signal distribution system up to 1000x1000 and larger
