1. Provide a compact, energy efficient audio amplifier with low thermal dissipation that shall support eight analog inputs and eight amplified outputs with 75 watts rms per channel.
   1. Compact stereo amplifier with 75 watts rms power output per channel and ENERGY STAR® qualification
      1. Input Requirements
         1. Shall support eight, balanced or unbalanced line level signals on four 5-pole, 3.5 mm captive screw connectors
         2. Shall support wiring of a mono source to adjacent odd/even input pairs for bridged output operation
      2. Output Requirements
         1. Shall support eight speaker level signals on four 4-pole, 5 mm screw-lock captive screw connectors
         2. Shall provide 75 watts rms per channel into 8 ohms measured at 1 kHz with 0.1% THD
         3. Shall provide 50 watts rms per channel into 4 ohms measured at 1 kHz with 0.1% THD
         4. Shall provide a signal-to-noise ratio of 100 dB measured from 20 Hz to 20 kHz, unweighted
         5. Shall provide a THD+N measurement of 0.1% measured at 1 kHz, at 3 dB below clipping
         6. Shall provide damping factor of greater than 100 at 8 ohms
      3. Amplifier Requirements
         1. Shall utilize an efficient Class D amplifier design
         2. Shall provide Class D Ripple Suppression technology
         3. Shall be convection cooled and operate without fans or vents
         4. Shall provide an automatic clip limiter to detect onset of clipping by comparing input and output waveforms and automatically reduce gain without audible artifacts to eliminate clipping distortion
         5. Shall provide multiple protection circuits that activate during output shorts, thermal overload, or DC faults
         6. Shall provide power factor correction technology to remove harmonic content on the AC power line
      4. Power Requirements
         1. Shall draw 72 watts during typical (1/8 power) operation with all output channels driven with 4 ohm loads
         2. Shall draw 96.7 watts during typical (1/8 power) operation with all output channels driven with 8 ohm loads
         3. Shall draw 9.6 watts during quiescent operation
         4. Shall provide a low power standby mode
            1. Shall enter standby mode after 25 minutes (+/- 5 minutes) of inactivity
            2. Shall draw less than 1 watt while in standby mode
            3. Shall return to full power status in less than 100 milliseconds upon signal detection while in standby mode
            4. Shall feature an input signal detection threshold of -65 dBu, +/- 3 dB on a balanced input to deactivate standby mode
         5. Shall be ENERGY STAR qualified
         6. Shall provide internal universal power supply with IEC power socket and support for international 100-240 VAC, 50/60 Hz standards
      5. Control Requirements
         1. Shall support remote standby control on one 2-pole, 3.5 mm captive screw connector
      6. Front Panel Requirements
         1. Shall provide an LED for power indication that lights green when the unit is receiving power and active, and lights amber when the unit is in standby mode
         2. Shall provide an LED for indication of the enclosure temperature exceeding the optimal value
         3. Shall provide green LEDs for input signal presence indication
         4. Shall provide red LEDs for indication of clip warning and protection circuit activation
      7. Rear Panel Requirements
         1. Shall provide eight inputs on four 5-pole, 3.5 mm captive screw connectors
         2. Shall provide eight outputs on four 4-pole, 5 mm screw-lock captive screw connectors
            1. Shall support 22 AWG to 12 AWG speaker cables
         3. Shall provide remote standby control port on one 2-pole, 3.5 mm captive screw connector that supports standby defeat with the insertion of included 10k ohm resistor
         4. Shall provide recessed, detented potentiometers with laser etched position indicators for attenuation adjustment
         5. Shall provide green LEDs for input signal presence indication
         6. Shall provide red LEDs for indication of clip warning and protection circuit activation
      8. General Requirements
         1. Shall be enclosed in a rack-mountable 1U, half rack width metal enclosure
         2. Shall meet regulatory compliances
            1. Shall meet safety compliances under CE, CEC, CISPR 22 Class B, C-tick, CUL, ENERGY STAR, European Code of Conduct, FCC Class B, ICES, RoHS, UL, UL 2043, VCCI Class B
            2. Shall be UL listed for plenum airspaces and meet UL 2043 compliance for heat and smoke release, when used with an optional Extron Flexible Conduit Adapter Kit
            3. Shall meet UL 60065, IEC 60065, and BSEN 60065 for safety
            4. Shall meet EMI/EMC compliances under CE, CISPR 22 Class B, C-tick, FCC Class B, ICES, and VCCI Class B
            5. Shall comply with appropriate requirements of ENERGY STAR, EU code of conduct, RoHS, and WEEE
         3. Shall provide three year parts and labor product warranty
         4. Shall provide seven year parts and labor power supply warranty
